- Big Show def. Roman Reigns via Pinfall
I’m glad the outcome was different this time, but how many times do we have to watch these two fight each other in boring matches? There is nothing impressive about their work together. Big Show basically dominates most of the match before Reigns hits him with the clothesline, clothesline, apron kick, clothesline, superman punch, then spear.
- The Ascension def. Goldust and Stardust via Pinfall
I love The Ascension. I’m just not sure WWE knows what to do with them.
- Ryback def. Luke Harper via Pinfall
A short but good match. WWE is still keeping Ryback strong. I wish he could have taken the US title from Rusev before they moved him away from that feud. It’s time for Ryback to hold some gold.
- Cesaro def. Jimmy Uso via Pinfall
I was afraid Cesaro was going to lose this one. Great match between the two. I can’t wait until Tyson Kidd and Cesaro take the belts from them.
- Bray Wyatt def. Dolph Ziggler via Pinfall
Outstanding match between the two. Despite my favoritism for Dolph, Wyatt needs a few clean wins against top talent to keep strong. So I think he needed the victory more than Dolph. Besides, I think Ziggler took this loss and still came out the other side looking good because of his performance with Wyatt.
- Paige def. Alicia Fox via Pinfall
Just filler to push Paige vs Nikki Bella. Not much to see here.
- Sin Cara def. The Miz via Pinfall
Predictable finish, but the match did it’s job of getting The Miz over as a heel. I feel like Mizdow is stuck in a gimmick that WWE can’t figure out what to do with next. He’s still over with the crowd, so there isn’t a reason to reach the pay off of him taking on The Miz just yet. But they are running out of ideas of how to stretch it.
- Rusev attacked Erick Rowan before the match could ever start
I hate the fact that his first pinfall loss will be at the hands of John Cena, but it is what it is.
- Daniel Bryan def. Seth Rollins via Pinfall
A hell of a match even with all of the outside interference! I have a feeling WWE’s plan is to have Reigns defeat Bryan Fastlane in order to give him a little more of a push for Wrestlemania. I’m not buying that WWE is willing to give up on Reigns just yet. But with that aside, Rollins continues to show why he should be considered a top guy. And Bryan can still work the ring like the best of the best. Even Reigns, who was not in the match, hit a spear on Big Show hard enough to knock his testicles loose. An awesome end to the show.
Although I’m disappointed by the “announcement” about Wrestlemania, the show was pretty good for what it was. Great matches with two amazing ones to top the night off. With minimum drama outside the ring with some incredible matches, I’d like a few more episodes like this before Wrestlemania.
