- Finn Balor def. Tye Dillinger via Pinfall
A squash match. Nothing special about it.
- Becky Lynch def. Bayley and Charlotte via Pinfall
The match started off a little slow at first, but it really picked up and stole the show in the later half of it.The women of NXT proved once again why they’re the best female competitors in the business.
- Hideo Itami def. CJ Parker via Pinfall
A good match with CJ Parker showing a more vicious side. It’s sad to see him go after seeing some of his most recent work. Hideo got the win, but Parker looked more impressive than ever in the ring with him.
- Rhyno def. Jesus DeLeon via Pinfall
Another squash match. Rhyno received a few “You still got it” and “Never lost it” chants afterwards.
- Kevin Owens def. Alex Riley via Pinfall
A far better match than their previous one together, but it still had the same outcome.
If you’re still trying to wash the bland taste of this week’s Raw out of your mouth, then this episode of NXT is exactly what you need to do so. It had a few squash matches and a main event with an obvious outcome, but it delivered on in ring action with the women’s division while giving fans a few entertaining back stage moments. Honestly put, this episode was a reminder of what a wrestling show should be even during it’s weaker moments. Because in the end, the only thing fans want is consistency. And it seems like this episode of NXT, despite the squash matches and predictable outcome to their main event, continued their consistency of quality that fans have grown to love.
